"It's pleasant, charming music, basically," said symphony executive director Mark Savage. "It's easy to listen to and within everyone's comfort zone."

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and the military, and $8 for students with identification. Call 433-4690 or go to www.fayettevillesymphony.org.

Just beachy

With a hard winter about to come to an end, a night at the beach sounds mighty good.

Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by an auction and the beach music sounds of The Band of Oz at 8.

Tickets are $62.50 and $75. The expo center is at 414 Warsaw Road in Clinton. Call (910) 592-6451 or go to www.sampsonexpocenter.com.
