The Buzz: Sean Penn reacts to his critics

Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn has some harsh words for critics of his recent humanitarian mission to Haiti.

Penn, who is 49, brought doctors to the earthquake-hit nation and helped establish a private Haitian relief organization, US Weekly reports. Critics denounced Penn's actions as hypocritical for swooping in with aid one minute while returning to his Hollywood mansion the next.

"You know, do I hope that those people die screaming of rectal cancer?" Penn said about the negative comments. "Yeah. You know, but I'm not going to spend a lot of energy on it."

Good news for British fans of rapper Snoop Dogg.

The hip-hop star has been allowed to return to the United Kingdom three years after government officials banned him from Britain, according to ContactMusic.com.

Snoop had been denied entry into the nation because authorities had argued that his previous convictions for drugs and firearms offenses made him a threat, the Web site said. But lawyers for Snoop fought back, saying the rapper's work as a high-school football coach and upstanding family man in the United States should be taken into consideration.

The ruling was overturned last week, giving Snoop the authority to return to Britain.
