Rodger Mullen: The library will host an anime convention Saturday

Anime rules at the Cumberland County Public Library Saturday.

The Headquarters library on Maiden Lane in downtown Fayetteville will host "Librari-Con," an anime mini-convention, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Events include anime viewing and panels and forums on the animation style. Members of a "Star Wars" costuming group will be on hand, and artists Danny Hirajeta and Kaysha Siemens will show some of their work.

Also, donated and discarded anime, manga, graphics and gaming books will be for sale, with proceeds benefiting the Friends of the Library.

Admission is free. For more information, call Missy Lang at 483-7727, ext. 306, or go to cumberland.lib.nc.us.
