Country music superstar Jason Aldean will return to the Crown Coliseum with a headlining tour Saturday night at the Crown Coliseum at 7:30. Aldean is on quite the hot streak. Not only has he nabbed multiple awards at the Country Music Association awards and the American Country Awards, including Album of the Year and Artist of the Year, he is nominated for three Grammy Awards. Aldean is known for "My Kinda Party," "Don't You Wanna Stay?" (with Kelly Clarkson) and of course, "Big Green Tractor." a celebratory sampler
On Friday, the Cape Fear Regional Theatre will continue its 50th anniversary celebration in a big way with performances of "Encore: Fifty Fabulous Years." The show features a selection of various favorite musical numbers and scenes from the theater's past 50 years. It will be presented by stars who have graced the theater's stage during that time. It's still not too late to celebrate the new year. The Vietnamese New Year (Tet) will be celebrated Saturday at the Saint Patrick Catholic Church Social Hall from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. It features a Vietnamese buffet, music, gifts for children and other cultural events. The competition will be held at the Storytelling Arts Center of the Southeast at 311 Main St. in Laurinburg. Bill Cosby - the comedian, actor and lover of Jell-O - will perform two shows Saturday night at the Durham Performing Arts Center. The shows are at 5 and 8 p.m. The Emmy Award-winning performer and gentle elder statesman has enjoyed a transcendent career - everyone loves "The Coz" - that has spanned decades. In addition to awards from the entertainment industry, he also has received the Kennedy Center Honors, the Presidential Medal of Freedom (America's highest civilian honor), the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and the Marian Anderson Award.
